Hai Phong

@ Hai Phong hoping my duck decision was a good one. I guess we’ll find out soon enough

Very strong wild duck SMELL – the taste was not bad – definately more chewy and on the overcooked side but it wasn’t dry. There was a side dish of Ginger sauce to flavor the otherwise bland duck. Don’t get me wrong – it still had it’s gamey duck taste – just no marination.

The broth was very sweet and the noodles perfect.  The bamboo shoots were of the dehydrated variety so the texture was interesting – not quite crunchy but not quite tough but an odd mix of both.  As we neared the end of the meal the flavor the soup and noodles had a bitter edge ><.

Different for sure. Would I order it again? Probably not… But at least I don’t regret it ^^

What else was at our table:

No. 3 (rare beef @ beef balls)

Veggie Pho

And some crazies …

Run away!!!!!

As we were leaving, the crab at the table next ours looked FAN-#%*%#-tastic!  Still need to try it at some point ^^

*** If you are not in the mood  for noodles – the lemongrass chicken here is pretty good ^^ ***
