There are two types of egg tart shells – the puff pastry variety and the butter cookie version. As you can tell from the pics Anna serves the cookie type. What threw me off though was the thickness of the shell. It was pretty much half the tart!
I normally don’t like the cookie variant but maybe because I felt like I was eating a butter cookie topped with custard rather than an egg tart – I quite enjoyed it ^^
