Dinner for a good friend’s bridal shower. Overpriced Japanese Tapa’s, but it’s the atmosphere and drinks that count right ^^
Summer Love – can definitely taste the lychee soju but it was well balanced and not overly sweet.
Saba (mackerel) sashimi – ok freshness, not much else to say lol~
King crab roll – the rice became a little soggy from being tempura’d and fried and there wasn’t much crab so not a fav. The one redeeming feature was the sauce ^^
Mushroom salad – the mini mushrooms were well marinated and cooked perfected. In conclusion, a good salad ^^
Risotto croquettes – came out hot and crisp. The risotto had a good texture and the flavor was really good. By far my fav dish of the night.
A nice twist on the usual negi toro roll – the baguette was crisp and the tuna had a good flavor. Most importantly for me, the green onion was so easy to sweep aside ^^ Another good dish of the night and one I would recreate at home

I don’t know the official name, but I’m pretty sure it is black cod – robata style. This was also really nice – the fish was moist (oily) and perfectly cooked. Too bad there was so little of it.
Maguro steak – average – the sweet sauce was a good compliment.
Ebi mayo – not the most balanced dish. The batter was a gooey solidy mess so not the freshest when I had it. The sweet and sour type mayo was a little overpowering and heavy but at least the shrimp wasn’t overcooked.
Stone bowl – rice with a tomato flair – mediocre at best, the rice was a bit soft and didn’t crisp up properly but it was edible ^^
likelihood of revisiting: 75% if it’s for someone else LOL
Culinary minset: tapas
